Bardet-Biedl Syndrome

Bardet-Biedl Syndrome is a rare and serious genetic condition that affects many systems and parts of the body. Manifestations include progressive visual impairment, learning difficulties and problems with kidney function that may lead to more serious complications. There is no cure for Bardet-Biedl syndrome, but symptoms can be treated and/or managed, and many affected adults are able to live independently.
